Job Position – X-Ray Technician 

(Position Description - part-time, hourly, non-exempt, clinical, and at-will)

Location – Crossings Community Clinic—Midtown 


General Scope of Position

The X-Ray Technician at the Crossings Community Clinic (CCC or Clinic) Midtown location will provide diagnostic imaging services to a diverse population, treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis.

Organizational Relationships

Reports to the Midtown Crossings Community Clinic Operations Manager. The X-ray Technician will assist with students who are shadowing, and will work collaboratively and interact regularly with CCC staff and volunteers across the various departments and ministries, and locations, as well with partners of the Clinic to accomplish the goals and mission of the Clinic

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Treat every patient as an honored guest.
  • Provide quality diagnostic X-ray procedures as scheduled, ensuring patient safety, and minimal radiation exposure by utilizing lead shields and wearing provided radiation badges.
  • Prepare and position patients accurately for radiologic exams while prioritizing patient comfort and dignity.
  • Maintain excellent clinical records, including proper documentation and imaging storage (PACS/EHR) to track progress toward clinic goals.
  • Maintain equipment in excellent working condition; strictly adhere to radiation safety, quality control, and infection control procedures.
  • Integrate imaging services with overall medical care, treating the whole person.
  • Image Evaluation: Check captured X-rays for clarity and quality. Retaking images if needed before sending to a Radiologist.
  • Interpret medical orders for the test to determine what body parts need imaging.
  • Assist in maintaining the highest possible clinic standards and professional ethics in accordance with the goals, Purpose Statement, and Core Values of Crossings Community Clinic. 
  • Support the leadership of CCC, contributing to the spirit of unity among the staff and congregation.
  • Represent Crossings in civic and ministry-related efforts as approved or requested.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks to accomplish responsibilities associated with this position or as may be needed or assigned to fulfill the needs, mission and goals of Crossings’ ministries.

  • Working knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) and digital radiology software preferred.

  • Ability to travel between locations as needed or requested.

Physical & Other Requirements for Position

  • Be able to walk a long distance (up to a quarter of a mile); and be able to lift and carry 25-35 lbs. parcels for distances of up to 500 feet. 
  • Possess a current unrestricted driver’s license.
  • Able to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
  • This is a safety sensitive position where the employee holding this position has the responsibility of his/her own safety and the safety of others including minors.

Education and Experience

  • shall possess an undergraduate degree, at a minimum
  • Current Oklahoma Radiologic Technologist license / ARRT certification preferred.
  • Experience in non-profit, clinic or community clinic preferred.
  • Sustain “good standing” membership within a like-minded Christian Faith Community.
  • Maintain a vibrant relationship with Christ through prayer, Bible study, regular worship attendance and Christian fellowship.
