About The Position

 Wellhart is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens position in Oklahoma. This comprehensive assignment offers night shift coverage at a healthcare facility, starting on 06/30/2025. The position requires working 8 pm to 8 am shifts, Monday through Sunday, with 56-62 shifts per month. The initial contract is for 205 days, with a possibility of extension. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing a wide range of emergency medical conditions, from acute trauma to obstetrical crises, and be proficient in using the RPMS electronic health record system. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care for a wide range of conditions
• Perform medical screenings, diagnoses, and treatments in compliance with EMTALA regulations
• Manage acute trauma, infections, and life-threatening conditions
• Handle obstetrical crises and labor cases
• Evaluate and treat patients with potential mental health emergencies
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using the RPMS system
• Collaborate with on-call physicians for complex cases, admissions, and transfers
• Respond to in-hospital emergencies and provide basic life support when needed
• Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care
• Advise clinical leadership of any issues related to patient care needs

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine (any state license accepted)
• Experience with night shift emergency medicine preferred
• Familiarity with RPMS electronic health record system is advantageous
