Job Description:

Contracts Specialist II manages, maintains, and updates supply chain contract files, data and systems, ensuring maximization of GPO, aggregation group and local contracts for high contract penetration. Identifies targets of opportunity through analysis of data to ensure price accuracy, supplier performance and implements initiatives to achieve savings for OU Health.  Partners with category manager to develop contracting strategy and support all aspects of the contract negotiation process.  This position requires the ability to work with hospital administrative departments, clinicians and hospital executives to facilitate adoption and standardization of services and products that create efficiencies and cost reduction efforts throughout the organization.

  • Manage supply/service/capital contracts from implementation to renewal.
  • Identify savings opportunities through data analysis.
  • Provide documentation for Value Analysis Committees.
  • Build/maintain positive working relationships with staff and suppliers.
  • Manage item master, GPO, and contract systems.
  • Plan, award, and administer contracts.
  • Develop contract/bid calendars.
  • Support supplier scorecards and reviews.
  • Oversee contract redlines, routing, and storage.
  • Analyze bids and supplier responses.
  • Stay current on market/technology trends.
  • Independently prioritize tasks and adapt to changing needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree required.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in contract administration, strategic sourcing or healthcare supply chain.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

  • None required.

  • Strong contract review/redlining skills.
  • Problem-solving in purchasing/contracting.
  • Clear and confident communication.
