We are looking for a Missing Youth Specialists to join our team and provide support and oversight to permanency staff in their effort to locate missing youth. Join us and help make a difference!

Location: Olathe, KS

What we are looking for:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required; Master’s Degree Preferred from an accredited college or university with a degree in social work, counseling, family therapy, child and family development, criminal justice, sociology, forensics, education or other related field
Experience: 2 years experience with children and family services
Current valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance required
Licensure: License with the Kansas BSRB preferred
Flexibility in working hours,

What you will do:

Conduct online and in-person searches to locate missing youth.
Serve as liaison with law enforcement and community agencies.
Track and analyze data to identify trends and provide weekly updates to DCF.
Utilize various methods (door knocking, social media, etc.) to find missing youth.
Assist in training staff and researching new search methods.
Complete assessments on returning youth and provide Family Finding investigative efforts.
Advocate for children and families and represent the agency in professional/community groups.
Ensure paperwork is completed timely and attend all required meetings.
Develop resources and improve contract outcomes.
