Job Description

The Southeast Region of JCPRD includes Heritage Park, Verhaeghe Park, Camp Branch Glade, Stilwell Community Park, Wilderness Trail and Coffee Creek Trail.  Included in this region are shelters, restrooms, dog off-leash, disk golf, recreation sports, equestrian cross-country course, trails, playgrounds, & fishing ponds.

Essential Duties:

• Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, cleaning restrooms, cleaning shelters, landscape planting and maintenance, sanitation collection and disposal, turf and flower care, special projects, and ground maintenance etc.
• Part-time maintenance workers may operate equipment and trucks as trained, assigned, and licensed.
• Some weekend and holiday schedules may be optional.
• $15.00 hr./40 hrs. week, up to 1000 hours max per season.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity may be added, deleted or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Job Requirements

• Applicants are required to have a valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
• Minimum Age: 16 years of age or older. Any applicant under the age of 18 shall not drive with a passenger.
• Applicants shall have reliable transportation and must be at work on time unless the direct supervisor is contacted in advance.
• Applicants will be required to wear JCPRD shirts and steel toe shoes/boots.  Provided by JCPRD.

Physical, environmental, and special working conditions:

Part-time workers are subject to loud noises, heavy lifting up to 50lbs, extended periods of standing/walking, and weather extremes.

JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
