Job Description

ABOUT KIDSTRONG

KidStrong is a science-based children's training program designed to help kids win at life by building strength, confidence, and character. We empower kids walking to 11 years through a cutting-edge curriculum and high-energy coaching. If you're passionate about leadership, operational excellence, child development, and building successful teams, KidStrong is the place for you!

Position: Regional Manager – KidStrong

Reports to:
Area Developer
Direct Reports: General Managers (3–5 centers)

If you're a proven leader who thrives on developing people, driving performance, and building a culture of excellence across multiple locations, we want you on our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

REGIONAL OPERATIONS

  • Own the operational health of 3–5 KidStrong centers within your region, ensuring each location meets brand standards, KPIs, and the KidStrong family experience.
  • Analyze regional financials, center-level P&Ls, and key performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and risks β€” and act on them decisively.
  • Conduct regular center visits to evaluate operations, class quality, cleanliness, maintenance, and brand consistency firsthand.
  • Serve as the escalation point for center-level issues including maintenance, safety, staffing gaps, and member concerns.
  • Partner with the Area Developer and internal teams to roll out company-wide initiatives and ensure consistent, high-quality execution across all centers.
  • Oversee regional scheduling practices to ensure all centers are appropriately staffed and coaching shifts are reliably covered.
  • Drive regional profitability through oversight of events, camps, and party programs β€” ensuring GMs are sourcing, scheduling, and executing these revenue channels effectively.

SALES & GROWTH

  • Hold GMs accountable for lead management, CRM hygiene, self-sign-up conversion, and membership growth within their centers.
  • Monitor regional sales performance and coach GMs on strategies to improve lead generation, conversion rates, and member retention.
  • Champion community engagement and local marketing efforts across the region, supporting GMs in building brand awareness through events, partnerships, and social media.
  • Identify underperforming centers and develop targeted action plans to return them to trajectory.

LEADERSHIP & PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

  • Directly lead, develop, and evaluate General Managers β€” serving as their primary coach, mentor, and performance manager.
  • Recruit, hire, onboard, and when necessary, offboard General Managers.
  • Foster a strong coaching culture across the region β€” modeling the "see something, say something" standard and holding GMs to it.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and center visits with each GM, providing structured feedback aligned to KidStrong's leadership expectations.
  • Identify and develop internal talent pipelines for GM and AGM roles across the region.
  • Lead regional leadership meetings and ensure GMs are attending and actively participating in their weekly leadership touchpoints.
  • Support GM professional development through LearnUpon and other training resources; monitor completion and hold teams accountable.
  • Communicate professionally and responsively with GMs and internal stakeholders via Slack and email β€” this role requires consistent availability even outside of center hours.

COACHING

  • Complete full KidStrong coach certification and maintain working knowledge of the curriculum, programming, and class delivery standards.
  • Be prepared to step in and cover classes, parties, and camps across any center in your region when staffing needs arise β€” this is an active, hands-on leadership role.
  • Understand the "why" behind the KidStrong curriculum and be able to communicate it clearly to coaches, GMs, and families.
  • Must be able to work in a physically intensive environment β€” including moving through class, interacting with kids ages walking to 11 years old, and lifting and moving equipment up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be comfortable physically working with children to support proper technique and ensure student safety.

CULTURE & BRAND

  • Be a visible and engaged leader across all centers β€” GMs and their teams should experience you as a present, invested resource, not just an oversight function.
  • Uphold and reinforce KidStrong's core values and DNA competencies across every center in your region.
  • Ensure regional social media presence reflects on-brand, organic content standards and that GMs are actively maintaining their center-level channels.
  • Model the standard you expect β€” your leadership sets the tone for every GM, coach, and family interaction in your region.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5+ years of multi-unit or multi-site management experience, preferably in fitness, youth programming, retail, or a service-based franchise environment.
  • An athletic and/or coaching background with experience working with or coaching kids ages 15 months–11 years old. A passion for working with children is required.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing managers and driving measurable performance improvements.
  • Strong financial acumen β€” comfortable reading P&Ls, interpreting KPIs, and making data-informed decisions.
  • Experience with CRM platforms, scheduling tools, and Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar).
  • Exceptional communication skills β€” written, verbal, and in difficult conversations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly across your assigned region of 3–5 centers; this role is field-first.

DNA / COMPETENCIES

  • Exhibits High Standards β€” and holds others to them
  • Develops Leaders, Not Just Followers
  • Command Presence
  • Accountability Without Blame
  • Strategic Thinker / Operationally Grounded
  • Passion for Kids and Families
  • Mentor Mindset
