Position Summary
The Team Supervisor provides engaging and inclusive leadership to maintain an emotionally and physically safe environment for patients and staff. Through observation, evaluation, and daily supervision, you will oversee the provision of active treatment and daily activities to enhance treatment engagement and outcomes. We are looking for role models who are solutions-focused and dedicated to building upon the strengths of those we serve.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor direct care employees, including orientation, ongoing training, and performance evaluations.
- Effectively delegate tasks to empower team members and improve their skills, confidence, and communication.
- Assure the safety, care, and treatment within the program by promoting a trauma-informed culture.
- Provide leadership and guidance during crisis intervention and emergency safety situations.
- Maintain proficiency in information systems such as My Avatar, Citrix, and ADP, as well as program curricula including TST, PBIS, and Resilience training.
- Monitor and adjust staffing levels throughout the day to meet program needs and ensure compliance with guidelines.
- Lead interdisciplinary teams using strong logical reasoning, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: High school diploma is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Human Services, Education, Criminal Justice, Criminology, or a related field is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Experience: Two or more years of direct care experience in a residential or psychiatric hospital environment, OR two or more years of management experience, OR a combination of management, education, and direct care experience.
- Technical Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Language: Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) is an essential function of this position.
