Job Overview

 

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse operations related to raw materials, indirect materials, Work In Process (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG). This role ensures accurate receiving, inspection, storage, internal movements, and inventory control, while driving improvements in organization, layout, and warehouse processes. The position requires hands-on leadership, strong process knowledge, and experience in reorganizing and standardizing warehouse operations.

A Day In The Life

  • Supervise the receiving of raw materials and all other company materials, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Define, implement, and enforce material-specific inspection and release processes, including coordination with Quality and other departments when required.
  • Ensure materials are properly identified, labeled, inspected, and approved before being released to inventory.
  • Manage non-conforming material processes, including quarantine, tracking, and communication with Quality and Procurement.
  • Oversee daily operations of warehouses for Raw Materials, Work In Process (WIP), and Finished Goods (FG).
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and material flow to support production and shipment requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and system transactions.
  • Ensure FIFO, traceability, and inventory control standards are followed.
  • Develop and execute a warehouse organization and layout improvement plan, addressing current disorganization and inefficiencies.
  • Implement cycle counts
  • Implement visual management, 5S, and best practices to improve safety, efficiency, and accuracy.
  • Identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement initiatives related to space utilization, material handling, and productivity.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • High School Diploma and experience of more than 5 years as Warehouse Supervisor or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of receiving processes, material inspection, and inventory management.
  • Hands-on experience organizing, restructuring, or improving warehouse operations implementing cycle counts
  • Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and inventory transactions. (JDE.1 will be a differential)
