Job DetailsJob Location: Saint Louis - Saint Louis, MO 63132Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 2 Year DegreeThe Donald Danforth Plant Science Center has an opportunity for a full time Senior Network Administrator to join the Information Technology department providing support across our network infrastructure. This position reports to the Director of Information Technology and works closely with the rest of the IT team. Candidate must be available some evenings, nights and weekends to apply patches and investigate/resolve issues that arise. Responsibilities: Monitor and manage network infrastructure using PRTG and other tools/notifications Monitor and manage Wide Area Network circuits Monitor and manage Extreme Networks Wi-Fi system Monitor and manage Dell servers and VMWare instances Monitor and manage Backup/Disaster Recovery mechanisms via VEEAM and Zerto Monitor and manage Compellent and Nimble storage arrays Monitor and manage patching and upgrades across supported systems Other duties as assigned Required knowledge, skills and abilities: Broad range of knowledge related to networking, storage and servers Cisco experience supporting hardware and managing support contracts Knowledge of routing, network protocols, wiring infrastructure, DNS and DHCP Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Troubleshooting abilities related to throughput and network-related issues Must be able to evaluate and provide recommendations on network and storage systems Ability to work independently and with a team Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated problem-solving skills Live the Danforth Center values: Collaboration, Diversity & Inclusion, Innovation, Integrity & Respect, Environmental Sustainability and Stewardship.
