JOB SUMMARY: Properly wash and store all dishes, pots and pans trays, eating utensils, cups, and small equipment for the department. Maintain the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner.

QUALIFICATIONS


Requirements:

  • Food Handlers permit.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Current knowledge of occupational safety issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stay on task.
  • Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  • Ability to work peak business hours.
  • Ability to obtain a Class II gaming license.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  • Six months of restaurant experience.
  • Excellent guest service skills.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to perform a variety of tasks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular and continuing basis.
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and move from area to area in the kitchen.
  • Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.
  • Required to be able to reach with hands and arms.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Set up and break down dish machine, including arms, screens, and baskets.
  • Clean and polish machine thoroughly, removing any paper and hosing down interior.
  • Check machine to be sure it is operating correctly and report any defects immediately.? Wash and store in proper places all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Check water temperature during dishwashing operation to ensure proper temperature.
  • Remove trash from dish room and place in dumpster.
  • Clean and sanitize garbage cans and keep clean liners in cans at all times.
  • Clean and keep neat dish room area including detergent storage area and belt line.
  • Keep all lowerators clean, polished, and neatly stored.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
