You will run the preparation of profitability report materials for committee reviews and participate in financial analysis and system processes to support corporate financial management decision-making, Asset/Liability Management Committee activities and regulatory compliance. You will support the business plan development and the loan pricing development process in coordination with the business units and support the execution of Treasury functions, which include deposit pricing, interest rate risk, liquidity, and cash management.Â

Your day may include:
- Maintaining WSECU’s profitability reporting system, including ownership of the system framework and communication with the external application provider
- Owning the ongoing profitability analytical framework maintenance to achieve report timeliness and accuracy as well as the enhanced reporting and analytical capabilities
- Preparing routine profitability report materials for review and supporting Committee presentations
- Coordinating with business units and branches for ongoing management reporting needs for decision-making processes
- Participating in the interest rate risk operations that develop and maintain the risk management tools and maintaining risk modeling processes and operating procedures
- Preparing quarterly performance updates on internal and external investment portfolios to ALM committee
- Assisting senior team members to assess report results and performing the analysis to identify corporate balance sheet interest rate risks, potential revenues and recommends management actions and strategies
- Assisting in the preparation of ALM report materials and supporting Committee presentations
- Assisting with research and annual & business plan forecast updates in coordination with the business units for balance sheet and income statement projections
- Providing financial analytical support to the business units for new and existing products and projects
- Participating in competitive research for strategic and business planning for major products
- Performing cash flow forecasts and providing analytical support for liquidity and cash management Treasury functions that meet regulatory expectations and in compliance with Board Policy
- Supporting the development and maintenance of the financial contingency plans that include the Contingency Funding Plan and the Recession playbook
- Coordinating with the Business Units to develop and execute holistic enterprise product pricing strategies for consumer loans, mortgages, deposits, etc.
- Coordinating the execution of the pricing strategies with the Secondary Market unit to ensure the mortgage sales processes are consistent with WSECU balance sheet and profitability strategiesÂ
- Collecting key project intakes from the Business Units and preparing financial assessments and recommendations to the Business Units through scenario analysis
- Coordinating to ensure accountability among the stakeholders, and a balanced approach between business growth and best use of capital for WSECU
- Serving as a resource to the organization for project financial analysis, statistical analysis and quantitative problem solving
What you bring to the team:
- BA in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, or a related quantitative science
- Minimum of Three (3) years of work experience in finance, analytics, banking, accounting or quantitative analysis or an advanced educational degree in a related field and Two (2) years of related work experience
- Provide prompt and efficient service demonstrating strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to perform complex financial, statistical and quantitative analysis
- Proficient in modeling techniques and data management software such as Tableau, SQL and Snowflake. Financial modeling software experience, ALM required
- Knowledge of derivative instruments and bond investments
- Proficient in modeling techniques and data management software
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
Bonus Points if you have:
- Experience with financial systems such as FIS
- Knowledge of derivative instruments and bond investments
- Project Management Skills
Competitive pay: $40.38 - $60.57 per hour, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package
- The target starting pay for this position is $40.38 - $50.47 per hour, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
- The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA or WSECU University Branch at 1121 NE 45th St. Seattle, WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite minimum of one (1) occasion per week.

When you’d work: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, full-time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this non-exempt position
