South Sound Radiology (Olympia, WA) is looking for a Mammography Technologist to join our team. This position is typically Monday- Friday / day shift.

Location: 

Beautiful Olympia, Washington.  Geographically located between the salt waters of the Puget Sound and the fresh waters of Budd Inlet and the Deschutes River.  The South Sound offers stunning views of Mt. Rainier and the Olympic Mountain range.

Compensation: 

Base hourly range is $39.94 to $63.89. The hourly wage is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge and skills. 

Work Schedule: 

Typical: Monday - Friday / Day Shift (Option of 4/10s or 5/8s from 7:30-6pm or 8-4:30pm

Position Summary:

  • Properly performs Mammography to ACR standards
  • Ability to physically assist patients to obtain high quality imaging
  • Assists radiologist with specialized procedures
  • Prepares sterile trays as applicable
  • Properly screen orders prior to exam for any precautions or contraindications
  • Provides patient care services in a professional and compassionate manner
  • Organizes and monitors patient flow to meet company productivity, quality, health, and safety standards
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict situations with minimal supervisory assistance but able to recognize when a situation is beyond individual training/expertise and requires assistance
  • This position may cross cover in X-Ray and DEXA

Qualifications and Requirements: 

  • National certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Advanced certification in Mammography
  • Washington State Radiologic Technologist license  
  • Current certification in Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS
  • Prefers Mammography experience
