Advanced Metals Machining is a precision metal component manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, satellite, optical, and commercial industries looking to add a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to our growing team.

Job Purpose:

The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure that products are manufactured in accordance with established quality standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement, reducing defects, and enhancing overall manufacturing performance through effective practices.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures for manufacturing operations.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure consistent product quality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze quality data, trends, and metrics to drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead root cause analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
  • Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
  • Ensure Compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and work instructions.
  • Work with suppliers to address and resolve incoming quality issues.
  • Train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.

Skills/Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering role.
  • Strong Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaborations skills.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma is a plus.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Physical Requirements

While performing the responsibilities of the Quality Engineer job, the employee is required to talk and listen. The employee is often required to sit for extended time periods. The employee is required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
