Credit Analyst

This position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating/establishing credit limits for all customers by obtaining credit reports, obtaining credit references, reviewing financial data about them and reviewing the customer's payment record and outstanding accounts receivable with Werner.  In addition, the position works closely with the Collections Department to determine the status of the A/R collections and use this information to determine threat risk and take needed action.

Responsibilities:

• Research customers for financial stability and determine proper level of credit that can be extended.
• Work with customers and the Collections Department to resolve past due items when credit is a concern.
• Provide assistance with miscellaneous accounts related to Billing, Collections and AR.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
• Timely and regular attendance according to the scheduled shift as determined by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
• Familiarity of financial statements.
• At least 2 years of credit decision making experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret items noted in statements and complete research using different tools to obtain data.
• Knowledge of a PC and Windows, Word, Excel, and Access.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills, along with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
