As an Account Manager, you will market voluntary products to prospects and current clients and services existing accounts. Reviews specific information regarding plan design, rates, summaries, proposals implementation of plans and enrollment. Works with carriers to develop rate quotes, underwriting and eligibility. Prepares presentation materials, employee communications and enrollments, implements and maintains plans, and performs special projects.Â

Your job responsibilities as an Account Manager:Â
Markets voluntary benefit plans by explaining features and merits of options depending on client goals.Â
Prepares new or renewal presentation material by obtaining quotes from carriers.Â
Coordinates data and rates from carriers, including any plan design alternatives and commission changes.Â
Reviews plan documents for completeness and accuracy.Â
Coordinates the implementation of new plans and policies.Â
Assists with creating communication material for clients and prospects.Â
Trains clients on requirements for administering the plan; assists clients in setting up internal procedures as needed.Â
Attends or conducts enrollment meetings and assists with new hire communication and open enrollment.  Â
Assists clients in obtaining complete employee enrollment on a timely basis and ensuring carrier receives all required information.Â
Attends client meetings, documents all client meetings and phone calls regarding coverages and pertinent information.Â
Assists clients in canceling and making any changes to their insurance coverage.Â
Assists clients with claims matters.Â
Answers client questions regarding procedural matters and plan provisions. Â
Monitors product changes of carriers and in the industry.Â
Provides administrative support to the Voluntary Benefits Department. Â
Maintains active involvement with targeted professional, civic and charitable organizations to develop and nurture HUB Great Plains’ image. Â
Perform other duties as necessary.Â
Â
Qualifications:Â
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferredÂ
2 years of experience in benefits brokerage, insurance or employee benefits customer service, account administration, or a related field preferredÂ
An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualificationsÂ
State life and health insurance license, or ability to obtain, requiredÂ
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation, and to effectively present information to clients and internal stakeholdersÂ
Comfortable interpreting business publications, professional journals, and regulatory materialsÂ
Strong mathematical skills, with the ability to calculate percentages, interest, commissions, and apply concepts from basic algebra and geometryÂ
Ability to apply common-sense reasoning and follow instructions delivered in written, oral, or diagram formÂ
Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to assess information, develop alternatives, and implement effective solutionsÂ
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; ability to adapt to new technologies and use them to improve processesÂ
Strong organizational and planning skills; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with accuracy and efficiencyÂ
Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to team successÂ
High ethical standards and professionalism; committed to upholding organizational values and fostering an inclusive, respectful workplaceÂ
