Job Title: Saw Operator / Fabrication Assistant-Front Desk – 1st Shift

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift – Start time 6:30 AM-330pm

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated individual to join our fabrication team. This position assists in the cutting and preparation of materials by operating a contour or manual saw. Candidates must be able to multitask, read a tape measure accurately, and work in a fast-paced environment.

General Purpose:
Perform various administrative and manual tasks to support the fabrication department in cutting materials into correct size pieces according to work orders.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Operate contour or manual saw to cut materials according to job orders
Read and follow written and verbal instructions
Accurately read a tape measure, understand measurements, fractions, and weight scales
Record job information and measurements accurately
Perform physical labor including lifting and handling heavy materials

Additional Responsibilities:

Wrap and bale materials as needed
Assist with other shop duties as assigned
Maintain a clean and organized work area and remove scrap materials
Complete required reports and documentation

Qualifications:

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
Ability to read a tape measure and understand measurements and fractions
Basic reading, writing, and counting skills
Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machines
Ability to perform repetitive manual labor and heavy work
Team player with the ability to work cooperatively with others
