Job Summary:

As a fire alarm inspector, you will service, test, repair, and maintain electronic life safety systems, in commercial and industrial environments. This position also emphasizes providing exemplary customer service to ensure client satisfaction and safety.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct through fire protection system inspections and preventative maintenance services on diverse life safety systems.
  • Ensure all systems and devices (alarm panels, sirens, horns, strobes, etc.) function properly and comply with manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Deliver effective and organized technical support and communication to clients.
  • Complete and submit any required paperwork to the appropriate agency or internal department in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a positive work environment and atmosphere of respect and building trust when interacting with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake additional duties or special projects as assigned by management.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must have or be willing and able to obtain specified licenses/certifications including NICET levels, for the fire alarm industry per state regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite, specifically word, excel and comfortable with web-based applications.
  • Strong knowledge of fire and electrical codes for proper inspection and installation of systems.
  • Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry skills/knowledge.
  • Able to travel as needed.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize and solve problems.
