Job Summary Â
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely moving componentry and finished products throughout the warehouse and ensuring production supplies and materials are transported and placed in the required areas. Â Â
This is what you will do:Â Â
- Move merchandise and materials within the facility using powered industrial equipment, manual equipment, and by hand when necessary.Â
- Operate pallet wrapping equipment to provide a tight seal on finished goods.Â
- Load and unload trucks to move products to remote buildings or for disposal/recycling.Â
- Perform staging of componentry to the Filling lines as well as put-away tasks of finished goods from the Filling lines.Â
- Provide help with special projects. Â
- Pull orders and load trucks for Shipping as needed.Â
- Unload and put away pallets for Receiving as needed.Â
- Stage and remove bad pallets from the production department.Â
- Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas in the entire warehouse and assigned areas. Â
- Maintain cleanliness and good working order of all assigned equipment.Â
- Comply with all safety and compliance standards set forth by the Company.Â
- Communicate effectively and professionally with others on the radio and in person.Â
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.Â
- Perform work onsite.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned. Â
This is what you will need: Â
- High School or equivalent.Â
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.Â
- Ability to operate a stand-up forklift, pallet jack, and other related materials handling equipment.Â
- Ability to communicate effectively via electronic devices and in person.Â
- High attention to detail and good organizational skills.Â
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks under pressure.Â
- Knowledge of proper hazardous shipment handling procedures and markings.Â
- Inventory control knowledge.Â
- Ability to read, write, and speak English competently.Â
- Ability to pass an onsite work skill test.Â
- Ability to maintain reliable and predictable attendance.Â
- Current Forklift certification or related training (preferred).
- Hazardous Materials training (preferred).Â
- Knowledge of RF Scanner devices (AS400 preferred).Â
- One [1] year of experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred). Â
