We’ve processed millions of tests across all 50 states, and we do everything in-house, from sample testing and logistics to code, marketing, and design. That vertical integration gives us the speed, control, and creativity to shape the future of health and wellness.

THE ROLE

As our Lab Operations Manager, you'll own the inventory and operational engine that keeps our laboratory running efficiently every day.

You'll ensure our lab has exactly what it needs to operate at full capacity by owning inventory planning, purchasing, receiving, vendor relationships, and facility operations. You'll work closely with our laboratory leadership to anticipate demand, eliminate bottlenecks, improve processes, and build systems that scale alongside one of the fastest-growing laboratories in the country.

We're looking for someone who enjoys creating order from complexity, loves improving processes, and thinks several steps ahead. Whether your background comes from warehouse operations, manufacturing, food production, supply chain, or another high-volume operational environment, you'll play a critical role in helping Rythm deliver an exceptional experience to every customer.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Own all inventory operations supporting the laboratory, ensuring critical supplies are always available while minimizing waste and expired inventory.
  • Forecast inventory needs based on volume, throughput, and projected growth.
  • Purchase laboratory reagents, consumables, and operational supplies while balancing cost, lead times, and expiration risk.
  • Monitor inventory levels and supplier performance to prevent operational disruptions.
  • Receive, organize, and track incoming shipments while maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Build inventory forecasting models that optimize purchasing decisions.
  • Partner closely with laboratory leadership to understand testing demand and proactively plan inventory requirements.
  • Analyze laboratory inventory, identify operational bottlenecks, and recommend improvements that increase efficiency.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for inventory management, receiving, procurement, and storage.
  • Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing where appropriate, and resolve supply chain issues.
  • Coordinate facility-related operational projects, including equipment deliveries, contractors, maintenance vendors, and other one-off operational needs.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and improve inventory visibility through technology and AI.
  • Support cross-functional projects across laboratory, warehouse, operations, and production teams.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Willing to work on-site in Omaha, Nebraska.
  • 4+ years of experience in operations, inventory management, warehouse management, supply chain, manufacturing, production, or similar operational environments.
  • Experience owning inventory planning and procurement in a high-volume operation.
  • Strong understanding of inventory forecasting, replenishment strategies, and purchasing.
  • Experience balancing inventory availability against expiration.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience building or improving operational processes.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills; experience with inventory management software or ERP systems preferred.
  • Process-improvement mindset with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Experience supporting laboratory operations.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, healthcare operations, logistics, or other regulated environments.
