Job DetailsJob Location: Omaha, NE 68108Education Level: High School EquivalencyJob Category: Learning Community Center (LCC) Job Duties The Learning Community Center’s Program Assistant serves in an essential role to provide excellent customer service to fellow co-workers, program participants, and any visitors.  The Program Assistant acts as an ambassador for the Learning Community Center (LCC). Primary responsibilities include: clerical tasks, front desk responsibilities, driving the company mini-bus, assisting with the childcare duties of the Center, and other duties as assigned. Greets and assists all visitors to the center. Welcomes parents and children in the program by name. Registers parents and children upon arrival and provides them with a communication device. Screens walk-ins for eligibility and places on the waiting list or schedules enrollment.  Answers questions about the Learning Community Center and programs offered. Answers incoming telephone calls and routes as needed. Ensures phone and reception coverage during breaks. Answers emails and responds to faxes, voicemails, and mail in a timely fashion. Assists with tracking class attendance of participants and makes reminder phone calls as requested. Assists in data entry to keep the online database up to date. Manages and updates the Emergency and Medical Release binder and the No Photo/Video list. Assists with logistics for classes and meetings, including preparations and administrative functions. Takes minutes for staff meetings and other meetings as assigned. Prepares snacks and refreshments for classes and for special events as needed. Manages departmental supplies and orders. Picks up weekly snacks and other supplies by automobile. Creates, tracks, and submits disbursement requests and receipts for departmental expenses. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed to support the business, and responsibilities may evolve to meet the changing needs of the organization.  Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel) required, or the willingness to learn. Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance, with a clean driving record and completion of the Mini Bus Driver Safety class, required.
