Building Maintenance
- Assist with routine and preventative maintenance throughout the facility.
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
- Inspect resident rooms, common areas, offices, mechanical areas, and other facility spaces for needed repairs.
- Perform basic repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, and other building components.
- Replace light bulbs, ceiling tiles, fixtures, hardware, and other items as needed.
- Assist with routine inspection and maintenance of facility equipment and systems.
- Identify maintenance issues requiring specialized repair and promptly report them to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist contractors and outside service personnel when directed.
- Maintain maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies in a safe and organized manner.
Resident Safety
- Maintain a safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Immediately address or report hazards such as spills, damaged flooring, broken equipment, loose handrails, malfunctioning doors, electrical concerns, or other unsafe conditions.
- Ensure maintenance work areas are properly secured and do not create hazards for residents.
- Use appropriate precautions when working in resident rooms and care areas.
- Maintain resident privacy and dignity while completing work.
- Exercise caution around residents who may have mobility, cognitive, or other safety concerns.
