We are looking to add a 1st Shift Diesel Service Technician/Mechanic to our Omaha location!! Pay is commensurate with experience ($26 - 38 per hour). Duties:
- Maintaining bus and coach fleets for our Great Plains locations.
- Ensuring the company has the safest of coaches placed in service, and they are free of mechanical defects with all installed equipment in working order.
- Conducting diagnostic, repair, and routine service of our fleet.
- Inspecting brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts to ensure that they are in proper operating condition.
- Repairing and maintaining parts of an engine, such as fuel injection systems.
- Repairing electrical systems.
- Changing tires on buses and support vehicles.
- Repairing gas/diesel engines and A.C. systems.
- Will work evenings, weekends and on-call as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Brake and air conditioning certifications preferred.
- Fleet maintenance experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record required. A Commercial Driver’s License with passenger endorsement or the ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire is required.
- Basic computer skills required, including the ability to use systems and tools needed to complete job responsibilities.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to successfully complete a DOT physical, drug testing, background check, and back screening.
- Ability to work on-call, evenings, and weekends as business needs require. Each week worked on-call may earn up to an additional $500 for that week.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify solutions and address work-related issues proactively.
- Self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively under time and budgetary expectations.
- Ability to work well in a team-focused environment. The maintenance department is a hardworking, cohesive group that values collaboration, accountability, and a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn new skills, accept coaching, and support continuous improvement.
- Ability to manage time effectively, stay organized, and complete work within established deadlines.
- Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining good attendance.
- Must have the necessary tools to perform the responsibilities of the position.

Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate Degree or Technical College Certificates preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
