We’re seeking a Mechanical Project Manager with strong experience managing mechanical projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for contract administration, estimate review, purchasing, customer communication, and overall project execution. The right person will have a solid mechanical background, strong organizational skills, and the ability to keep projects moving from handoff through completion while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical projects from preconstruction handoff through project closeout
  • Oversee contract administration and ensure project execution aligns with contract scope, terms, and requirements
  • Review preconstruction estimates and support project turnover from estimating to operations
  • Coordinate material and equipment purchasing to support project schedules and field execution
  • Track project progress, budgets, schedules, and key deliverables throughout the full project lifecycle
  • Maintain strong communication with customers, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and successful delivery
  • Manage project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement logs, and closeout materials
  • Work closely with field personnel to support installation progress, issue resolution, and overall jobsite coordination
  • Monitor project costs and support efforts to maintain profitability and control project risk
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the duration of each project
  • Support problem-solving and decision-making related to schedule, procurement, project changes, and execution issues
  • Use project software and construction tools effectively to manage workflow, communication, and documentation

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of mechanical project experience
  • Strong background in mechanical systems and project execution
  • Experience with contract administration
  • Experience reviewing preconstruction estimates and supporting project turnover
  • Experience with material and equipment purchasing
  • Strong customer relations and communication skills
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Proven ability to oversee projects from estimation through closeout
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple moving parts across project teams, vendors, and clients

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Revit experience
  • Experience in mechanical contracting, HVAC, piping, or building systems projects
  • Experience supporting both office and field coordination functions
  • Strong understanding of project cost control, scheduling, and documentation workflows
