Position Overview
As a Sales Executive, you'll be responsible for developing new business while growing relationships with existing customers. You'll spend the majority of your time in the field meeting with contractors, manufacturers, transportation companies, quarries, agricultural operations, recycling facilities, municipalities, and other industrial customers to provide weighing equipment, service agreements, and system upgrades.
Success in this role comes from understanding customer operations, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and customer visits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Promote and sell industrial weighing systems, truck scales, floor scales, components, software, parts, and preventative maintenance agreements.
- Conduct on-site assessments to understand customer operations and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and product demonstrations.
- Follow up on leads, bids, and projects to close sales and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with service technicians, project managers, and installation teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the company's CRM.
- Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive offerings.
- Represent Precision Point Metrics with professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience in industrial equipment, construction, manufacturing, automation, heavy equipment, or related industries.
- Proven success developing new business and managing customer relationships.
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to understand industrial equipment and customer applications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional overnight travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling industrial weighing systems, measurement equipment, automation products, or related industrial solutions.
- Knowledge of truck scales, load cells, weighing systems, or industrial instrumentation.
- Experience selling service agreements or preventative maintenance programs.
- Existing relationships within industrial, manufacturing, transportation, aggregate, agricultural, or recycling markets.
