technicians uphold the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and professionalism. We are

looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Heavy-Duty Scale Technician to join our growing team.

Position Overview

The Heavy-Duty Scale Technician is responsible for servicing a variety of industrial and

commercial scale systems, both in the field and at customer sites. This role requires

mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and

efficiently. Work is performed in diverse environments, including outdoor job sites,

industrial facilities, and occasionally in challenging weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, calibrate, and repair heavy-duty truck and industrial scales.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues.

- Use specialized tools, calibration weights, and diagnostic equipment to ensure accuracy

and compliance.

- Operate vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and lifting devices as

required.

- Document service activities, calibration results, and maintenance records with precision.

- Communicate clearly with customers, project managers, and internal team members.

- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a professional work ethic on all job sites.

- Manage time effectively to complete projects efficiently and meet service deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail; quality-focused mindset.

- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 100 lbs.

- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and industrial

environments.- Proficiency with basic hand tools; ability to operate skid steers or similar equipment is

preferred.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to assess and resolve issues

independently.

- Strong communication and customer-service skills.

- Must have a valid driver’s license.

- Must currently hold a CDL (Class A or B with air brake endorsement) or be willing and able

to obtain one.

- Clean driving record required.

- Willingness to travel regionally with occasional overnight stays.

- Availability for occasional weekend work; standard schedule is Monday–Friday.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical repair, or scale service.

- Familiarity with NIST Handbook 44 and weighing system standards.

- Background in construction, heavy equipment, or field service roles.
