Work schedules may vary week to week, month to month, or seasonally based on operational needs.  Summary: Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium is seeking an organized, detail oriented, and guest focused individual to provide administrative and clerical support within the Guest Services Department. This position serves as a guest services ambassador, representing the Zoo with professionalism, warmth and courtesy while ensuring that visitors receive accurate information. Primary responsibilities include answering phones, responding to guest inquiries, performing data entry, processing forms, and assisting with ticketing or membership transactions. All team members are expected to demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills, accuracy in administrative tasks, and a commitment to providing outstanding internal and external guest experience that upholds the Zoo’s mission and guest experience standards. Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Utilize multi-line phone system in answering general questions, transferring calls and taking messages when needed. Address guest complaints and problems with tact and professionalism, ensuring guest satisfaction. Represent our Zoo in a positive and professional manner to maintain an open and accepting atmosphere.  Assist in answering and making radio calls. Process new membership sales and changes. Process payment transactions. Assist the Guest Services team in ordering, tracking, distributing and maintaining supply inventories. Process incoming and outgoing mail. Deliver mail to the executive offices. Promote teamwork within the working environment; assist coworkers when necessary. Ensure adherence to safe work practices and procedures for Zoo guests.   Report all safety related, animal related, mechanical issues, or other incidents to a supervisor.    Enforce Zoo policies for closures and evacuations in the event of emergency situations.   Other duties as assigned.   Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   At least 18 years of age. Must have exceptional guest service skills. Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be detail oriented. Must excel in a fast-paced environment. Must have an outgoing and upbeat personality and work well with others. Must work well under pressure. Must be task-oriented and not get distracted easily. 1 + years in customer service. Office experience is preferred. Bilingual language skills are a plus.  Proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to speak, read and write in English. Possess basic math and payment processing skills. Able to type, answer multi-line phones, and function independently. Candidates will be required to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening. Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred. Working Environment and Physical Effort:   Position requires sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds occasionally. Professional fast paced business setting. Work is indoors with occasional outdoors for short periods.
