Job DetailsJob Location: Omaha Svc - Omaha, NE 68127Position Type: Part TimeTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Skills Meticulous attention to detail. Demonstrates responsible, conscientious behavior and the ability to use good judgment in making sound decisions. Treats persons receiving support and others with dignity and respect. Works effectively as part of a team. Possesses training/teaching skills. Ability to effectively multi-task. Specific Duties Monitor for all medication and treatment forms for persons served. Develops and submits written reports as requested. Observes Med Aides’ med passing techniques as needed for quality assurance, staff training, and/or as directed by supervisor. Monitors med error GERs and adjusts training and/or monitoring as deemed necessary. Conducts Med Aide Training on periodic basis. Periodically prepares medication for destruction as necessary. Demonstrates good judgment and incorporates ACN’s mission, principles, goals, policies, procedures and practices in meetings, through documentation, and verbal instruction from directors, supervisor and trainers into all aspects of work. Promotes a positive image of ACN and the people ACN supports. Demonstrates reliability. Keeps supervising RN informed of any problems or significant issues in the completion of assigned tasks. Any other duties as assigned. Schedule Hours may vary depending upon the needs of individuals receiving services. Duties may include telephone contact evenings and weekends as necessary. Minimum and PreferredMinimum Qualifications Able to legally work in the United States. Be able to pass any required background checks. Licensed Registered Nurse in good standing in the State of Nebraska. Ability to maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures. Ability to achieve and maintain required training. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, including the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and the ability to use correct spelling and grammar. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors and the general public, remaining professional, pleasant and courteous in difficult situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Valid Drivers License. Exceptions to Minimum Qualifications may be made by the Executive Director.   Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications plus: One year experience in the field of nursing. Experience in working with people with developmental disabilities.
