Description
This position is responsible for shipping and receiving in the warehouse. The role will maintain safety, housekeeping, quality, customer service and productivity specifications. Â
Responsibilities:
- Shipping and receiving products while reviewing for damages
- Accurately verify quantity and descriptions of inventory received from packing lists and purchase order
- Accurately label and put away inventory in an orderly manner
- Ensure all stock is properly stored
- Staging material shipments or customer pick up’s Â
- Utilize company specific software and paperwork to maintain accurate inventory informationÂ
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to process and follow order sequence and adjusting to sequence changes
- Utilize hand tools, mechanical equipment, and motorized equipment
- Packing materials securely for transit without damage
- Process small package and LTL shipments
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counting processes
- Research and report inventory discrepanciesÂ
- Meet deadlines with attention to detail while following quality requirements
- Maintain a clean work environment and follow housekeeping requirements
- Follow company safety policies and proceduresÂ
- Work independently and as a team
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain a professional manner
- Follow directions provided by Leads, Supervisors, and Management
Requirements
Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience in a warehouse preferred
- Experience driving a forklift and/or ability to become certified on a forkliftÂ
- Experience with a WMS system and scanning technologyÂ
- Efficient time management skills
- Ability to work overtime when required
- Attention to detailÂ
- Able to lift and carry up to 60 pounds individually
- Ability to make repetitive movements, including but not limited to bending and squatting
- HS Diploma or GED strongly preferredÂ
