Summary

This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position based on the Omak campus.


Essential Functions

Teaching and Clinical Supervision

  • Teaching nursing theory courses, covering nursing practice and patient care.
  • Supervising students in the skills practice lab, ensuring they develop the necessary clinical skills.
  • Supervising students in clinical experiences in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities and community agencies.

Program Development and Evaluation

  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the nursing program curriculum.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of nursing program education policies.
  • Assessing student learning outcomes and evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing program.

Administrative & Advising:

  • Holding scheduled office hours and advising students on degree and career paths.
  • Participating in department, division, college and task group meetings.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program OR a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university AND a master’s degree in a health or education related field from an accredited college or university (per WAC 246-840-526).
  • A current, unencumbered RN license in Washington state.
  • Evidence of current clinical skills in medical-surgical nursing.
  • Documented successful teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting.
  • Experience with online and hybrid teaching modalities.
  • Experience in curriculum development.
  • Proficiency with computer applications for instruction and clinical documentation.
  • Ability to create digital content in accessible formats.
  • Experience working in multilingual and multicultural environments.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
