Bartender/Server

About the Role:

The Bartender/Server plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences within the accommodation and food services industry. This position is responsible for preparing and serving beverages, taking food and drink orders, and ensuring customer satisfaction through attentive and friendly service. The role requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to health and safety regulations. The Bartender/Server will engage with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere, handle transactions accurately, and collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service. Minimum Qualifications:

• Legal age to serve alcohol in the United States.
• Previous experience in a bartender or server role within the food and beverage industry.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS, ServSafe Alcohol).
• Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Knowledge of a wide range of cocktails, wines, and beers.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
• Take customer orders accurately and deliver food and drinks promptly to tables or bar patrons.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar and dining areas, including restocking supplies as needed.
• Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Handle cash and electronic payments accurately and responsibly, balancing registers at the end of shifts.
• Comply with all health, safety, and alcohol service regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate orders and ensure timely service.
• Monitor guest behavior and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
