The Opportunity


This is a customer-facing estimating and sales role focused on reconstruction projects. The Estimator will inspect damage from water, fire, storm, or related losses, develop accurate scopes of work, and lead the sales conversation to secure signed authorizations to begin reconstruction.

The ideal candidate will combine technical restoration expertise with strong interpersonal skills to guide clients through the reconstruction process with confidence and clarity. This role is central to converting inspection opportunities into signed projects and plays a key part in driving revenue and operational efficiency.

The company is hiring immediately and seeks a candidate who can contribute quickly within a growing reconstruction operation.

Key Responsibilities


  • Inspect property losses involving water, fire, storm, or related damage
  • Develop detailed and accurate reconstruction scopes following the loss
  • Prepare comprehensive estimates and documentation to support job files
  • Meet with clients to explain the recommended scope and reconstruction plan
  • Serve as the point of sale and secure signed work authorizations
  • Communicate the reconstruction process clearly from initial inspection through job handoff
  • Coordinate with production, project management, and office teams after the job is signed
  • Document site conditions, including photos, measurements, materials, and repair requirements
  • Identify reconstruction opportunities on property losses
  • Communicate professionally with clients, adjusters, and internal teams
  • Follow up promptly to move opportunities into production
  • Maintain thorough file documentation and ensure clean handoffs to operations

The ideal candidate has experience in reconstruction estimating and excels at building trust with clients during a stressful time. They are comfortable leading the sales conversation, confidently presenting a scope, and securing authorization to begin work.

Required Experience


Qualified candidates should bring:

  • Experience in restoration, reconstruction, estimating, or construction
  • Ability to inspect property damage and identify reconstruction needs
  • Proven ability to write detailed reconstruction scopes
  • Strong customer-facing communication and sales skills
  • Comfort and confidence in requesting signed work authorizations
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates and follow-ups simultaneously
  • Strong attention to documentation, photo capture, and measurement accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites within the market
  • Professional appearance and consistent follow-through

Preferred Experience


Preferred but not required:

  • Xactimate experience or similar (required)
  • IICRC certifications such as WRT, ASD, AMRT, or FSRT
  • Experience with insurance restoration claims
  • Experience estimating reconstruction projects
  • Familiarity with moisture mapping, drying documentation, and rebuild scopes
  • Experience working directly with adjusters
  • Prior experience in a restoration or reconstruction company

Compensation


Compensation will be competitive and based on experience, estimating capability, and ability to close reconstruction work. Final compensation details will be discussed with qualified candidates during the interview process. Target base is $85,000-100,000 plus commission/bonus
