Position Summary
The 2nd Shift Maintenance 2 role takes direction from the Maintenance Manager who will coordinate the activities of the Maintenance Department. Ā Under direct supervision, the right candidate will perform a wide variety of duties; including but not limited to; assisting machine setup / installation, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance of production and facility equipment. Ā
The position is currently classified as entry level Maintenance 2. Candidates who demonstrate advanced skills or experience may also be evaluated for the Maintenance 1 role.
This position assigned shift is 3:30pm to 11:30pm Monday thru Friday and pays $20.09 to start and $22.78 after 90 days plus $1.50 shift differential. (If qualified for Maintenance 1, $22.78 to start and $25.43 after 90-days)
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- All work is to be completed in such a manner as to promote a safe working environment, safe working practices, and promote good housekeeping
- Operate horizontal / vertical saws, tool post grinders, drill press, pipe threading machine, volt meter
- Assist in performing a range of mechanical duties which can include assembly / disassembly, diagnostics, welding skills, hydraulic / pneumatic systems, electrical maintenance, boiler operations and various other plant systems / functions
- Assist in performing machinist skills such as lathe operation, milling machine, press etc. and use a variety of hand / power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment
- Perform mechanical duties including: mill, calendar, rotocure, extruders, and motors
- Perform a variety of physically demanding assignments and effectively handle lifting various objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climbing and working at extreme heights as well as in confined spaces, and in varied temperatures and conditionsĀ
- Will be required to perform preventative maintenance and be responsible for maintenance of equipment and facilities
- The wearing of ALL appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is required

Experience and Education Required
- High School Diploma / GED required
- Lift truck qualified preferredĀ
- 1-2 years maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environment

Technical Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailĀ
- Able to read / understand measurements
- Ability to work in a hot (up to 90+ degrees) environment
- Good hand-eye coordination and work in a fast-paced environment
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing
