Position Summary

The Experienced Manufacturing Operator will work on a variety of manufacturing tasks in the production of industrial light weight belting, which may include operation of equipment, handling of raw materials, following build instructions, and movement of product. This position will report to the Production Supervisor. 

This position's assigned shift is 6am to 2:30pm Monday thru Friday and pays $18.36 to start and $20.09 after 90 days.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • RESPONSIBILITY IS FROM THE LET OFF TO THE WIND-UP. 
  • MUST OPERATE CALENDER WITH RESPONSIBILITIES OF PRODUCING SPECIFICATIONS AT STANDARD. 
  • KEEP CALENDER FEED STRIPS GOING, MAKE SURE MILL PERSON HAS ENOUGH STOCK ON THE MILLS, ASSIST WINDUP ON ROLL CHANGES, ASSIST ON CLEANING CENTER ROLL FOR COAT.
  • KEEP ALL PAPERWORK IN ORDER, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CALENDER TICKETS, INSPECTION SHEETS, SCRAP TICKETS, ETC. 
  • STRONG ATTENTION TO DETAIL.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to improve workflow and resolve production challenges.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Employ established set-up and Standard Operating Procedures for machines, tooling, gauging and other necessary equipment
  • Employ basic math skills of addition, subtraction, and multiplication to report production
  • Provide accurate production reporting
  • Maintain reliable attendance record

 Preferred Experience and Education

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-2 years in a sewing environment preferred
  • Experience with production reporting, computers and documentation is a plus

 Physical Requirements

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required. Physically medium duty work required
  • Requires standing continuously and walking occasionally throughout the day
  • Able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects up to 50 pounds frequently
