Position Title: Custody to Counseling Pipeline Supervisor

Status:  Full-Time/Non-exempt

Compensation: The starting salary for this position is $27.00per hour, plus a 2% differential for living and working from Oregon. Please see below for more details on the compensation package. Schedule: This is a full-time position with no in-office requirements; approximately 10–20 hours per week will be worked onsite at the designated correctional facility, with classes held during weekday evenings or on weekends, and remaining hours worked remotely.

Custody to Counseling Pipeline Supervisor Position Summary: Lines for Life is currently seeking an experienced professional to provide on-site training for our Custody to Counseling Pipeline program at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, OR. This program is intended to support a pathway for adults in custody to earn certification as Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors (CADC). The primary requirements for CADC span 8 domains and include education, experience, clinical training, and supervision. The Custody to Counseling Pipeline (C2CP) will provide readily available access to each of these CADC components – establishing a clear path for an adult in custody to become CADC-certified and ready to successfully transition into the behavioral health workforce upon return to the community.

Custody to Counseling Pipeline Supervisor Responsibilities:

To meet CADC clinical experience requirements, candidates must perform 1,000 hours of clinical experience. This clinical training position will be responsible for the following:

Creating and facilitating clinical simulations and skills training to coach participants on alcohol & drug screening, orientation, clinical assessment, treatment planning, consultation & referral, discharge planning, relapse prevention, informed consent, clinical documentation, individual and group counseling, case management, and crisis intervention using a trauma-informed approach.
Providing clinical supervision during simulations, including evaluation of clinical skills, ensuring participants reach the minimum number of hours of clinical experience per competency domain, and achieve clinical competency ahead of domain progression.
Delivering educational classes aligned with CADC competency domains via group sessions, during which participants collectively review answers, discuss comprehension, and address areas needing further development.
Oversee candidates’ progress with additional course materials, including answering in group settings any questions candidates may have on the Wise Communications Home Study course material they are doing independently.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure scheduling for all required training.
Complete mandatory trainings and workshops to remain knowledgeable about the latest policies and protocols and to stay equipped to apply crisis intervention tools & techniques.
Demonstrate high proficiency in technological aspects of the role and independently seek solutions and systems improvements to streamline training processes and stay up to date with technological advancements.
Perform technical, logistical, and administrative tasks promptly and with minimal oversight to ensure all deadlines and timelines are maintained.
Perform other duties, such as administrative and organizational tasks as needed
Meet with Director of Equity & Cultural Engagement (remotely) on a regular basis to provide program updates.

Custody to Counseling Pipeline Supervisor Required Qualifications:

Clinical Supervisor must meet OAR 309/ISSR standards for Clinical Supervisor Qualifications in Addiction Treatment and must possess one of the following advanced addiction counselor certifications:

CADC II CADC III NCAC I

MAC C-CATODSW CDP

CDSII CDSIII ASAM

Experience with planning, organizing, and delivering evidence-based curriculum.
Proficient in technology, including web-based communication and/or education platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and web-based computer applications
Ability to coordinate large, diverse groups of people.
Demonstrated success in planning, coordinating, and implementing complex projects.
Strong analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be comfortable working with adults in custody in a correctional setting and in a remote environment.
Able to maintain confidentiality and act with integrity
Ability to handle multiple tasks with deadlines

Custody to Counseling Pipeline Supervisor Travel and Schedule Requirements:

Will require working evenings and/or weekends to facilitate training needs.
Will require travel to deliver training at the Snake River Correctional Institution in Ontario, Oregon.
This position does not have any in-office requirements. All scheduled work hours will be performed onsite at the designated correctional facility in support of program delivery.
The position will initially work approximately 10 hours per week while facilitating one class, with the anticipated opportunity to increase to approximately 20 hours per week as programming expands to a second class, potentially within the first six months. The remainder of the work week will be spent working on evaluating assignments and offering feedback, preparing for class lessons, meetings, etc.
To ensure programming is accessible to adults in custody who have daytime work assignments, classes will be scheduled outside of standard business hours. The successful candidate must be available to work either evenings during the week or weekends, based on the facility’s program schedule.
This position requires flexibility to maintain a nontraditional work schedule aligned with class and facility needs.

Compensation information: This is a union position with a step progression based upon years of service at Lines for Life, and below is the current step scale:

0-3 years: $27.00

3-5 years: $28.62

5-7 years: $30.34

7-10 years: $32.16

>10 years: $34.09
