Nellson is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Recovery Coordinator to join our Bars Division in Ontario, California. This role is critical to optimizing inventory performance by managing slow-moving and obsolete inventory, minimizing financial risk, and supporting cross-functional efforts to maximize inventory recovery.

Position Summary
The Inventory Recovery Coordinator is responsible for managing slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB) to minimize financial impact to the business. This role drives cross-functional coordination with Quality, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure accurate inventory tracking, timely disposition, and effective recovery strategies while maintaining high levels of data accuracy and communication.
Essential Functions
- Monitor and manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB) to minimize financial loss and support recovery efforts.
- Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) to validate lot data accuracy and support lot extension or disposition decisions.
- Review inventory data and perform variance analysis to identify aging or at-risk materials.
- Generate and distribute customer ‘at-risk’ inventory reports to support proactive decision-making.
- Facilitate SLOB review meetings and provide regular updates to stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, and leadership.
- Work with Material Management and Operations teams to ensure timely closure of work orders.
- Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers on return, credit, or disposal processes for non-conforming materials.
- Partner with Customer Service to manage customer communication and financial responsibility related to obsolete inventory.
- Coordinate rework, repurposing, or consumption strategies to reduce waste and improve recovery outcomes.
- Track and report inventory aging, recovery progress, and financial impact through detailed reporting and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate records, tracking tools, and dashboards for inventory recovery activities.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to inventory management and recovery workflows.
Additional Duties
Support audits, inventory analysis projects, and cross-functional initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in inventory control or supply chain within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex inventory data.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in food manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
Physical Demands
This position primarily involves office-based work with occasional presence in a warehouse or production environment, requiring standing, walking, and minimal lifting, with reasonable accommodations provided in accordance with applicable laws.

This position operates in an on-site office and manufacturing environment, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to GMP and safety guidelines, and the ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced operational setting.
