Are you a proactive problem-solver who takes pride in delivering meaningful work that makes a lasting impact? We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Medical Assistant I in our Psychiatry Department. In this role, you'll play a vital part in working closely with medical and behavioral health providers to establish rapport with patients through connection and provision of optimal patient care in a care team environment, helping us move forward with purpose and precision. The ideal candidate values continuous learning, leads with a welcoming spirit, takes ownership of their work, and is passionate about supporting people and building stronger communities.


Essential Job Duties:

  • Performs basic patient check-in and check-out functions, including verifying and updating demographic and insurance information, as operationally needed.
  • Supports patient flow by welcoming patients, preparing them for their appointments, and communicating pertinent information to the care team.
  • Performs traditional Medical Assistant clinical support duties, including obtaining vital signs, collecting specimens, assisting providers with examinations and procedures, and maintaining clinical rooms, equipment, and supplies.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments and assists with basic patient access and care coordination activities to support continuity of care.
  • Works collaboratively with providers and other care team members to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Requirements

Qualifications:
