Now, bring that expertise into the classroom and help students become confident, capable, and industry-ready fire protection professionals.

We welcome applicants with backgrounds in areas such as:

  • Fire sprinklers and suppression systems
  • Fire protection engineering technology
  • Building systems, plumbing, and mechanical integration
  • Code compliance, inspection, and system layout
  • Hydraulic calculations and technical design tools

Ideal candidates often bring a combination of the following qualifications and experiences:

  • Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology and/or related credentials in engineering, building systems, or applied technologies.
  • Post-secondary level teaching experience.
  • Industry experience in fire protection, building systems, prevention, inspection, design, or code-related work
  • Familiarity with fire protection codes and standards (such as NFPA, building and fire codes)
  • Knowledge of fire suppression, detection, or life-safety systems through design, installation, testing, or inspection
     

We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm.
