Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting and executing all aspects of bar and kitchen operations in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Prepares and serves beverages, cooks bar menu items, and maintains a service philosophy that ensures consistency, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Be available to work Weekends. 


Primary Functions

Include, but are not limited to:

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
  • Ensures completion of daily bar and kitchen operational procedures.
  • Prepares bar food items according to recipes, safety standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel standards.
  • Establishes and follows procedures for safe working conditions in both bar and kitchen areas.
  • Responsible for responding to and handling guest-related issues pertaining to the bar and dining areas.
  • Ensures effective communication with the General Manager and all Department Managers, Supervisors, and Staff.
  • Supports team performance to ensure productivity, consistency, and a positive work environment.
  • Responds quickly to guest requests in a friendly manner; follows up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintains regular attendance, is consistently on time, and observes all prescribed work, break, and meal periods.
  • Maintains high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including compliance with dress code.
  • Accurately processes sales through POS and handles cash/credit transactions.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by the supervisor.


The ideal candidate will be:

  • Minimum one year of experience in the Restaurant / Food & Beverage field.
  • Previous kitchen, bar, or supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and recipe instructions.
  • Able to communicate effectively with guests, management, and co-workers.
  • High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • ServSafe and/or food safety training preferred.
  • Alcohol awareness training required or ability to obtain.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Able to perform basic mathematical calculations and use measurement tools.
  • Able to follow cost control procedures and support inventory management.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
  • Knowledgeable of local activities and attractions appropriate for guests.
