We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm.

Responsible for providing academic leadership in the classroom and ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students. You will…

What You Bring to Seneca



Education

Degree or Advanced Diploma required in one of the following (or a related discipline):

  • Building Systems Engineering Technology
  • Mechanical Engineering Technology – Building Sciences
  • Building Environmental Systems (BES)


Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of related industry experience in construction, building systems, site coordination, safety management, or similar fields.


Skills

  • Knowledge of construction/building site operations (scheduling, sequencing, coordination)
  • Health & safety expertise, including hazard analysis and risk assessment
  • Understanding of building codes, compliance requirements, and safety standards
  • Strong communication skills to teach site protocols, safety briefings, and operational expectations
  • Problem-solving and decision making abilities for safety and site challenges
  • A strong ethical foundation and a safety first mindset
