Full time position available. 6a-6p - days to work in the ED

Arranges for efficient and orderly registration and admission of inpatients and outpatients, collects accurate demographic and financial information and is the first point of contact at to assist patients with gaining access to medical treatment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Interviews incoming patients prior to admission to gather demographic, insurance and emergency information
  • Ensures completion of paperwork, sign-in and security procedures
  • Explains facility policies, preparing and distributing patient identification bands, and arranging for transportation to assigned rooms
  • Collects co payments, answering phones, assisting family members
  • Prepares patient admission documentation.
  • Informs patients and their caregivers of hospital procedures, policies, and protocols.
  • Provides patients with billing and payment information.
  • Deals with patient questions, concerns, and issues.
  • Explains advance directive questionnaire and obtains appropriate signatures and consents
  • Operates Department equipment: FAX machine, copy machine, computer, telephone
  • and patient wheelchairs utilized for transport.

Education: High School Diploma/GED required.

Experience: 1 year of medical or clerical experience preferred.



6:00am - 6:00pm / 3 and 2 rotations
