Lily Pad Pediatrics LLC is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our pediatric practice in Opelousas, LA. Responsibilities:

Greet and check in patients and families with a warm, professional demeanor
Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
Verify insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at the time of service
Answer and route incoming phone calls, take messages, and respond to patient inquiries
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and demographic information
Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED required; medical office training or certification preferred
Prior experience in a medical receptionist or healthcare front desk role REQUIRED
Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification, and EMR/EHR systems
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families
Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy pediatric office environment
Proficient in basic computer skills including scheduling and data entry
HIPAA knowledge and commitment to patient confidentiality
