We are seeking a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join a growing public accounting and advisory firm serving high-net-worth individuals, business owners, partnerships, trusts, and estates. Responsibilities- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, partnerships, trusts, and estates.
- Assist with proactive tax planning, projections, and year-round advisory services.
- Research tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance and recommendations.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and planning strategies for clients.
- Support trust, estate, and fiduciary tax planning engagements.
- Contribute to retirement planning, wealth management, and financial advisory initiatives.
- Participate in client meetings and help present tax planning recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high-quality service.
- Collaborate with senior tax professionals on complex tax and advisory engagements.
- Manage multiple client projects while meeting deadlines throughout the year.
- Prepare and maintain organized workpapers and supporting documentation.
- Assist with bookkeeping, accounting, and other advisory projects as needed.
- Stay current on changes in tax legislation and industry best practices.
- Active CPA license required.
- 1–3+ years of experience in public accounting or tax.
- Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
- Experience with partnerships, trusts, and estate taxation is highly preferred.
- Interest in expanding expertise in tax planning, estate planning, retirement planning, and wealth management.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to develop strong client relationships and provide exceptional service.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to work additional hours during peak tax seasons.
- Ability to work on-site in Oradell, New Jersey.
