Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and motivated Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking dishes according to restaurant standards, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service.
• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Ensure food is prepared and plated consistently, accurately, and promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and kitchen area.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Assist with inventory rotation and proper storage of ingredients.
• Support in receiving and storing deliveries, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Monitors coolers and freezers for proper temperature. Report deficiencies to management in a timely manner.
• Completes all opening, running and closing duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment preferred and the ability to have manual dexterity to handle kitchen tools and equipment.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds safely and without assistance.
• Able to bend, reach, twist and work in a hot, humid environment.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
