THE OPPORTUNITYĀ 
Ā 
The Maintenance Manager oversees property maintenance, ensuring efficient repairs, safety, and quality standards. This role troubleshoots issues, leads preventativeĀ maintenance, and mentors the team. Additionally, they collaborate with property leadership to improve operations and enhance the resident experience.Ā

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES    
  • Oversee property maintenance, including service ticket completions, inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, unit turns, and upkeep of apartments andĀ common areas.  
  • LeadĀ maintenanceĀ team recruiting,Ā mentoring,Ā and employee performance/compensationĀ review processesĀ asĀ required.Ā Ā 
  • Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear expectations, mentoring, providing feedback, and driving accountability within the maintenance team.  
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ADA, Fair Housing, and other safety regulations whileĀ identifyingĀ and addressing hazards.  
  • Monitor budgets, control inventory, and coordinate with vendors and contractors for repairs and capital projects.  
  • Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.  
  • Support the team with other duties as needed toĀ maintainĀ resident satisfaction and property standards.

CANDIDATE PROFILE        
  • Extensive experience in multifamily maintenance or related field.  
  • Leadership experience and ability to train and mentor staff.  
  • HVAC certificationĀ required; CPO certification preferred.  
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances.  
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols.  
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.  
  • Ability toĀ workĀ flexible schedules, including participation in an on-call rotation.  
  • Lifting/carrying (supplies, equipment, etc.):  
    • Over 75 lbs.Ā Ā Rare need  
    • 25 – 75 lbs.Ā Ā Occasional need  
    • 1 – 25 lbs.Ā Ā Constant need
