Due to current, as well as projected growth, HosePower is seeking a mechanically inclined, self-motivated Electric Forklift Technician. The Electric Forklift Technician ensures that forklifts operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. You will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric-powered forklifts and related material handling equipment. This role is ideal for those with a hands-on approach, a passion for equipment maintenance, and a commitment to safety compliance. Key Responsibilities Diagnosis & Repair: Identify and resolve faults in electric motors, battery systems, control circuits, and auxiliary systems such as hydraulics, brakes, and steering. Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and inspection of electrical and mechanical components. Battery & Charging Systems: Service and maintain lead-acid or lithium-ion batteries, charging systems, and related electrical accessories. Electrical Work: Change ballasts, fuses, and light switches; troubleshoot and repair electrical schematics; rewire systems as needed. Hydraulics & Pneumatics: Overhaul and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems to ensure proper lifting and control functions. Component Overhaul: Disassemble, rebuild, and test forklift components such as transmissions, motors, and drive systems. Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA and other safety regulations; ensure all equipment meets safety standards. Documentation: Keep accurate records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.
