About the Role:
Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside an experienced dental team in a patient-focused environment where your skills and passion for oral health truly make a difference.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
- Take digital dental X-rays as directed
- Record patient medical histories and treatment information in patient charts
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
- Manage scheduling, patient flow, and front office support as needed
- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering
Requirements:
- Prior dental assisting experience preferred; entry-level candidates welcome
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Dental radiography certification or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with dental practice management software is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
