As our Facilities & Construction Project Manager, you'll lead Fieldpiece's capital projects across the U.S., including office buildouts, tenant improvements, warehouse expansions, and new facilities. Acting as Fieldpiece's owner's representative, you'll partner with architects, consultants, contractors, and construction managers to deliver projects safely, on time, and on budget. Beyond capital projects, you'll also oversee the day-to-day operation of our facilities, ensuring our offices, R&D labs, manufacturing, and warehouse environments are safe, efficient, and well maintained. We're looking for someone who can confidently balance strategic construction projects with hands-on facilities leadership while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Whether your experience comes from the owner's side or from a commercial general contractor or construction management firm, you'll thrive in this role if you've successfully led complex construction projects, managed multiple stakeholders, and consistently delivered results. This position reports directly to the VP of Operations. This position is in our Orange, CA office with an exciting move to Tustin, CA in 2028.  Up to 50% travel is required.  What You'll Do Facilities Operations Keep Fieldpiece’s manufacturing, warehouse, R&D, and office facilities safe, functional, and production-ready Manage preventive maintenance, building systems, employee requests, assets, permits, and compliance records Capital Projects & Buildouts Lead capital projects as Fieldpiece’s owner’s representative, including ground-up construction, tenant improvements, and shell buildouts Own scope, budgets, schedules, vendors, risks, change orders, status updates, permits, inspections, and closeout Partner with internal teams and contractors to keep projects aligned, compliant, and on track Vendor & Contractor Management Select, negotiate with, and manage facilities vendors and service partners across key building services and specialty trades Oversee facilities budgets, approvals, invoices, quality, cost, and responsiveness Safety & EH&S Compliance Lead EH&S programs, including Cal-OSHA compliance, emergency planning, fire safety, hazmat handling, training, audits, corrective actions, and required filings Global Facilities Support Serve as Fieldpiece’s facilities subject matter expert for global sites, creating scalable standards, playbooks, and project support QualificationsWhat You Bring 5+ years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing, R&D, or light industrial environment Demonstrated experience leading commercial capital construction projects from planning through closeout, either as an owner's representative/client-side project manager or on behalf of a general contractor, construction manager, or design-build firm. Experience with office buildouts, tenant improvements (TI), warehouse expansions, or industrial facilities is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Cal-OSHA regulations and EH&S program management Experience managing vendor contracts and service agreements Proficiency with facilities management systems (CMMS or equivalent) Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to keep leadership, internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors aligned across concurrent projects and day-to-day operations Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time Preferred Experience supporting multi-site or international operations Familiarity with NFPA, ADA, and California Title 24 requirements Background in electronics manufacturing or test & measurement environment At Fieldpiece, we believe great work deserves great rewards. The California base annual salary range for this role is currently $137,000 to $167,000 plus bonus.  Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.
