The Lead Electrical Engineer is responsible for plant instrumentation, power distribution, and control system design, testing, and implementation. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead engineering efforts on cross-functional projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support controls hardware, software, and networking onsite
  • Lead and support electrical and instrumentation project implementation
  • Perform detailed engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and validation testing
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues in existing and new designs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (maintenance, operations, process engineering, HSE, and quality) to ensure seamless integration
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including schematics, specifications, and test reports
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and innovation efforts

Qualifications

 YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 5–10+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience
  • Strong knowledge of instrumentation, power distribution, and control system hardware (DCS and PLC)
  • Experience with manufacturing plant maintenance practices
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

WE VALUE

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering or multidisciplinary engineering degrees (IE chemical, mechanical, or industrial)
  • Experience as a process control or instrumentation engineer
  • Experience with packaging lines and robots
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (UL, IEC, IEEE, PSM, etc.)
  • Project leadership or team lead experience
  • Experience with hardware validation and testing methodologies

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary range for this position is $145,800-$182,250. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice Advanced Materials considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities or the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
