Job Summary

The Financial Coordinator is responsible for coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance verification and benefits, tracking, documenting and communicating the authorizations of status to internal and external providers as well as the patient/family.

The Pre-Registration Team is responsible for securing the authorizations for follow-up medical visits.

Duties include:
• handling calls from patients and health plans
• requesting authorizations for return visits from multiple health plans for multiple specialties
• following up on submitted authorizations, and updating the information on the encounters
• verifying insurance eligibility

Pay Range

Minimum $24.25 Midpoint $32.12 Maximum $39.99

Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 1+ years administrative or clerical experience in a medical field.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  

Preferred:

  • 2 years administrative or clerical experience in a medical office.
  • Experience with authorization process.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.

Work Environments - Functional Demand:
