About the Role:
Rajal J Patel DDS PA is looking for a skilled and passionate Registered Dental Assistant to join our growing dental practice in Orange, NJ! This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team in a patient-focused environment where your expertise and care truly make a difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, and cleanings
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and treatment rooms between patients
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed
- Record patient medical histories and treatment information in dental charts
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care instructions
- Manage dental supply inventory and ensure operatories are fully stocked
- Support front office staff with scheduling and patient communication as needed
Requirements:
- Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification or license in New Jersey
- Experience with chairside assisting in a clinical dental setting
- Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-ray certification preferred)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and infection control protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced dental office environment
- Experience with dental practice management software is a plus
